A bit about the series...

In June, a visitor came to my studio and said my work reminded him of Philip Larkin’s poem, Cut Grass. Though I’m not a poet, his words have stayed with me ever since.

As the painter, I feel so much energy and urgency in the summer months. I want to make the most of every view, every moment of light and warmth that the season offers. Yet no matter how much I paint, it never feels like enough—there’s always more to capture.
